Working under FOH for WAKA, it's hard to expect much, especially in an online setting. Even our usual customer interactions with ticket sales were reduced to names and numbers on a screen. Despite all that, it never really felt like the prod was less human. In fact, being in FOH made me see everything from the audience's perspective, to know what they expect, and it was definitely interesting to see what clicked with them and what didn't. Being one of their connections to the prod means playing a part on both sides, something that definitely became clear as I tried to balance questions and hosting throughout the Press Conference. All in all, despite the downtime, being surrounded by some fun members and some solid heads was definitely a memorable start for my blueREP journey, and I wish them all luck in what they do next as WAKA ends.

Hi! My name is Dave Fua. I’m more known in this org as Chris ❤️ and I’m a proud blueREPper/blueREP alumnus. The only thing I can say about blueREP is that it was one of the best decisions I made when I was in college and to whoever is reading this, it’s really something you won’t regret doing! I had so much fun being in this org and I met people who became my lifelong friends (shoutout to Sage, Cam, Alex, and Dee ❤️) It’s really true when they say you can be anything here in blueREP. I started my journey in blueREP as a stage manager under F*ME in 2017. After graduating as a newbie, I got to branch out to other departments in this org such as logistics, CFO, lights, technical director, project head (for one of the gigs), and front of house, which is the department that holds a special place in my heart. Before I graduated, I also became the VP for Finance during the 28th Season. This was something I never saw myself in but blueREP made me feel that I could and I’m glad they placed their trust in me since it allowed me to become more confident in myself. Each of these departments taught me different skills that allowed me to be more versatile. To say that I learned a lot would be an understatement. The experience and habits that I obtained working endless nights on different prods, pre-show preparations and plannings and so much more are things I still use today even if I’m not a part of the theater world after graduating. Anyway! To not make this any longer than it already is, blueREP will always be a home I can fondly look back to, and I hope that to whoever is reading this, it becomes your home as well.

I learned a lot when I joined FOH due to the guidance of other blueREPpers and the interactive workshops that contained helpful and new information. I really like how our FOH heads made sure that everything is organized and made it easier for us to do our tasks. The company was really great, I felt really comfortable, and I loved working with the team!
